Point Fibreglass Specialist (pty) Ltd, A fibreglass composite construction specialist company, was established in 2013 by Mark Lewin, formally the founder of Custom Kayaks, based in Durban South Africa. Mark is a veteran of 40 years of paddling and lifesaving experience, representing South Africa locally and Internationally, and has been producing customised water craft for over 40 years. In 2013 the business was diversified under the new banner of POINT FIBREGLASS SPECIALIST to include the manufacture of other international Surfski brands and the manufacture of industrial fibreglass products, as well as a full new range of surf craft under the POINT WATERSPORT logo.
Point Watersport is the recognised supplier of sea rescue boards and craft to Lifesaving South Africa, the South African National Sea Rescue Institute and exports to numerous International Lifesaving Association (ILS), affiliated countries.
Point Watersport manufactures the DD3 (Dynamic Durable Designs), internationally recognised range of ILS specification surfski’s and distributes them internationally from our Durban factory.
