Entry Level Single Surfski

The objective in the design of the TIDE single surfski, is to provide our range with an additional totally stable and user-friendly single surfski suitable for any novice level from “never having paddled before”, to the paddler that wants to be able to play in the surf or paddle down wind etc, and feel totally stable in any conditions. We aimed to do this but ideally not lose the responsiveness and glide of a genuine exciting surfski.

Starting with the basic design of our very successful and dynamic HORIZON X single we changed the primary stability, reduced the nose bow and tail volume and increased the rocker (the curved line of the hull).

The increased primary stability provides the added stability when paddling on flat water allowing the total novice to develop a proper paddling stroke. The reduced volume in the bow and the tail reduces the negative effect that side chop has on stability and makes the ski much easier to paddle in rough conditions.

The increased rocker allows for easier control through and on waves when surfing.

The overall result has meant that despite concentrating on increased stability, the ski has proven to be very competitive compared to other entry level surfskis. The ski is available in 4 construction/weight options.
